| Alternating cool and warm
weather brought about an exceptional 2005 vintage for white wines,
resulting in an intense and full bodied, yet very elegant Chardonnay.
Showing a green/yellow tint reminiscent of a classic Burgundian
Chardonnay. Aromas of pear, honeysuckle, and creme brulee fill your
senses. At the first sip, your palate is enveloped with citrus, mint and
white peaches. A huge viscous mouthfeel balanced with a nice acidity
leads to a long, luscious finish. |
2005 Chardonnay Columbia Valley 90
"The 2005 Chardonnay was sourced from seven vineyards and aged in
French oak, 40% new. Light gold-colored, it offers aromas of pear,
apple, butterscotch, and a hint of tropical fruits. Supple-textured, it
has layers of ripe fruit, crisp acidity, and excellent balance. Drink
this harmonious Chardonnay over the next 3-4 years."
