2008 Chardonnay
Vineyards:
We use several vineyards in our quest to produce the very unique and consistent Chardonnay which has become our signature through the years. By sourcing from many terroirs, some cool and some warmer sites, we are able to consistently craft the complex, rich and full bodied but also deliciously crisp and refreshing Chardonnay we are so famous for.
55% Weinbau Vineyard: Wahluke Slope, close to Mattawa
33% Lonesome Springs, Yakima Valley
12% Underwood Mountain, Columbia Gorge
Tasting notes:
Abundant sunshine combined with great attention in the vineyards and Burgundian winemaking practices paved the way to create our 2008 Chardonnay. Reminiscent of a Chablis-style wine with enticing mineral qualities, kiwi, pear, green apple and hints of smoke.
Creamy lees and white peaches seductively tease your palate, followed by sleek structure and crisp acidity in the finish. Smaller case production than previous vintages makes this sought after Chardonnay even more precious!
Risotto with butternut squash and scallops are a perfect compliment for our 2008 Chardonnay. However, a roasted chicken, fettuccine alfredo or 4-cheese Mac & Cheese will make awesome pairings.
