LODMELL VINEYARD

Columbia Valley

In late 1880, the Lodemell’s ancestors settled 30 miles northwest of Walla Walla. The vast area of virgin land was developed into a dry land wheat farm. In 1995, 15 acres of grapes were planted and continues to produce some of Walla Walla’s finest Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Lodemell recently added another 15 acres of grapes to include Semillon, Syrah and Cabernet Franc. Today, Lodmell Vineyards is a 30 acre Estate Vineyard located on bluffs overlooking the lower Snake River and sell grapes to some of the most prestigious Walla Walla Valley wineries.

WHY WE LOVE IT

The Lodmell Family does an awesome job farming this vineyard. Located on bluffs situated above the Snake River, just west of Walla Walla, it is a perfect site to grow Syrah. We source the Syrah for our Pink Rabbits Rosé from this site, which consistently provides low yield and small berries, perfect for our dry Rosé!

ROSÉ

06.24.09 008 Francisca.jpg

Overlooking the Snake River, just north of the Walla Walla Valley, Lodmell Vineyard is a great site and the source of our Syrah for the Pink Rabbits Rosé of Syrah. Small berries with super high juice-to-skin ratio provided extra complexity for this fun wine.
